Rosden Posted March 11 Posted March 11 I say possible, because I live in Louisiana and can't seem to find any local groups or people from around here that are. Anyone know if it is even legal here? Not sure if our laws distinguish between personal hobbyist or commercial manufacturing of fireworks.

The American Pyrotechnics Association does have a summary on their website for Louisiana, as well as most if not all other states. https://www.americanpyro.com/assets/docs/State_Laws/la16.pdf There don't look to be any local Louisiana clubs, but there are some in neighboring states. I'm not as familiar with them, so I don't know exactly where they meet and if they're accessible at all. https://pgi.org/pages/resources-and-other-pyrotechnic-organizations/ There were clubs in Tennessee and Georgia/Alabama in the works at one point, but I don't know if they ever materialized. From a federal perspective, hobby pyrotechnics is legal presuming you follow federal laws. States however can be more restrictive. I've met others in the hobby from LA, but I'm not familiar if there is a pathway toward full legality or if they were flying under the radar.
