Fauks Posted Tuesday at 11:53 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:53 AM I have some flake (-40+150) I wanted to add to some small aerial salutes. Is this too fine of a mesh? I'm wondering if it is even worth adding or if I should just get some proper 30-40 mesh sponge or flake.
Carbon796 Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM For single fired salutes/inserts/bottom shots 3" and above. I would use the -8+14 mesh sponge. For inserts smaller than 1-3/4" -20+40 mesh sponge. These are not hard fast rules. But, generally coarser is better.
