Darkonez Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi all. me again ! I have managed to find a source for ammonium nitrate in the uk at last, but is there a way to be sure it is what it says it is and is there a way to test if it’s full of other junk ? im dubious of mixing anything up until I know what I’m working with in case of reactions due to impurities or it possibly being something else altogether. Safety first!!
FrankRizzo Posted January 10 Posted January 10 It's very likely a mixture of calcium and ammonium nitrate. That's also a crazy amount of money per kg. There's really no pyrotechnic use for it, other than a few lab demos ("negative X",etc.).
