czechfilip Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Hi there folks! I'm from Czechia and here you cannot easily get neither of those chlorine donors mentioned. Only site that sells them has 1kg of Parlon for 46$ and 500g of PVC for 28$. I was wondering which should I choose because I don't want to buy both of them because of these ridiculous prices. I will be using them for stars, but mainly for the chlorine donor effect, not as binder. Any answers appreciated!
Zumber Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Parlon produce superior colour than pvc both are usable things. If you have potassium perchlorate it can also acts as a chlorine donor and you can use pvc with perchlorate.

If you'd like to experiment with chlorates, they can be easily made with salt and electricity. If you can purchase from eBay, search for "electrolyser bottle" or "hydrogen water". A bunch of companies make spray bottles with mmo electrodes in the bottom. Their usual use is producing a weak bleach solution for sanitizing surfaces.
