slickpyro Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I haven't seen anyone else ask this and I was just wondering if you could add titanium flake to your lift to add a bit of a mine effect. Or would it just be a waste? I make some pretty badass titanium salutes and I think it would be a cool touch, and I wanted to ask before trying it because titanium is rather pricy and I don't want to waste it. I just use regular bp for my lift and I don't see why it wouldent work. But if anyone has done this or knows the answer please let me know.
slickpyro Posted November 16 Author Posted November 16 This is what the shells are looking like right now. If you wanted to see. VID_78921005_063214_237.mp4
ThrownBiscuit Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I believe your video is somewhat less functional than it might be. I'd say give it a try; it might not do anything without the flake being in a close proximity to an oxidizer, but it sounds worth testing. Just to make sure, absolutely do not mill any metal into a lift powder. Adding a metal after it is done is relatively safe, during the milling is extremely hazardous. (Big boom when no big boom wanted type hazardous) To get a small mine effect on launch with shells, I have added a few primed small stars on top of the shell and rely on the flames that go around the shell to ignite them, it works well enough.
Carbon796 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Typically sponge Ti looks/works better with salutes. Plus it's generally cheaper. Flake may work better in the lift though. Since it will not be as hot as a report comp.
