Zumber Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Good Morning friends..!! I need to attatch rising tail/comet/pillar over a ball shell and before proceeding further I need some inputs in all safety aspects. Mixture Can contain KP atomized aluminium 150 mesh MgAl 100 or 150 mesh fine aluminium powder(-325 mesh) fine flake. coarse flake aluminium chips 60 to 80 mesh some charcoal trace( a percent or two) white dextrin How do I prepare mixture? Screen ingredients separately and use Diaper method? what about static sensitivity?
cmjlab Posted September 29 Posted September 29 If it were me, I'd screen separately through a 40 mesh (except courser metals), then screen gently through a 20 mesh 3 times. It's more of a gentle shake to allow the comp to fall through the 20 mesh screen, and diaper in between screenings, of course NOT using fingernails or metal utensils on the screen. If it's super dry out, maybe ensuring you ground yourself first and using a anti-static spray? If you're not comfortable screening the mixed comp, dispersing will likely work okay too. I prefer to screen all final mixes through a 20 mesh screen at least though.
