horrorpi Posted September 25 Posted September 25 I have to film in the next 48 hours so time is of the essence. One of my scenes requires sulphur such as used in pyrotechnics. The person and scene are unusual as she found out by working pyro that post nasal surgery has a sensitivity to the sulphur that makes it look like she is crying blood. I messaged pyro friends but they are all elsewhere on locations. Now I am almost out of time and need to know if there's a widely sold sulphur that is close in strength and safe to humans as the buffer or other ingredients added aren't poisonous.
FrankRizzo Posted September 25 Posted September 25 (edited) You're going to need to provide more information. Sulfur for crying blood? This is something that an actor would put up their nose? Edit: So, your plan is to intentionally expose her to sulfur, so that her sensitivity causes her to cry blood? Edited September 25 by FrankRizzo
TheSidewinder Posted September 25 Posted September 25 The question really isn't relevant to the scope of this forum, so the Topic is going to be locked. Buto the OP... if you plan on igniting/burning some mixture containing the sulfur you mention... sulfur is used in pyrotechnics, yes, but there's no "stand-alone" use for it in the hobby that I'm aware of. And regardless, its concentrated fumes if burned can be poisonous. Not really sure what you're planning since you didn't provide much detail, but I'd advise against it.
