Why my strontium nitrate is way more powerful than my other nitrates ?

Hi !

I often use potassium, sodium and baryum nitrates in stars and salutes compositions, but was very surprised when I did a comparison with Mg of those three nitrates with my new one : strontium nitrate. It appeared to be a lot more powerful than the others, and by far, even unconfined. Really like my pure perchlorate, at least.

All my nitrates are pure, fine and super dry, so it can't be the explanation, and I have never found anywere on internet why SN might be so powerful.

Do you have some explanations ?

Thank you very much !

Out of curiosity, what led you to conclude your strontium nitrate is more powerful than barium or potassium nitrate.

I guess my question is how did you test it to determine that?  I think if you provide some more details on your process / methods, you may generate more questions or input.

Just a suggestion, good luck!
