Newbie to this forum.
just a question what is stronger out of black or flash.
starting new construction work at home to install a shed for a new work shop.
the rock is hard and we have been using black powder to crack the rock.
Was told flash powder will be better as it packs more?

any one got an answer for me?

You are creating trouble to yourself as well as your neighbours.

Dont use any of them.

Just arrange proper construction machinery for your workshop construction.

You are not at mining site.

Stay safe.

Chemical cracking agents are water activated mixes that increase in volume so if you load them in a hole the rock cracks, no bangs no shrapnel no lights and sirens, -infact no-one even knows! Could be called Dexpan in your country/state.

For manual labour look at feathers and wedges, drill a hole then spread it with feathers and wedges. Line up the holes so that they crack where you want.

Youtuber "Demolition Dave Drilling and Blasting" has indexed both his feather and wedges videos and his chemical cracking agent videos.  www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlnBeA_am1Q09hRijr2cHEkpoGI9I-kS4   AND   www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlnBeA_am1Q281bOyCncz-n4w35K45MO8

This is not pyrotechnics but belongs to the field of explosion technology. Pyrotechnic mixtures were not invented for this purpose. Be loud, with big flash effect, create a big spectacular effect, these are designed for that. Pyrotechnic compositions are not designed to destroy things. You won't find what you need in the pyrotechnics category. What is specifically needed for the purpose are materials that are suitable for blasting stones. And it doesn't matter in what form it do it. We will not deal with this, it would be forbidden to discuss it. The professional field is also different. Industrial explosives are needed for the purpose. An explosion technician will check and see what it is, how to make with what, and what form.

There are many types of flash compositions, some are much stronger and some are much weaker. This is also true in the case that the oxidizer is KNO3 and no other oxidizer is used, and even the metal powders are narrowed down to aluminum and magnesium with some sulfur (mesh size, ratio and other important details). And in pyrotechnics, we don't only use one type of oxidizer for flash powder. When it comes to a pyrotechnic device, in this case not only the composition, but also the ratio in many cases, is individually designed for a certain product. There are standard general purpose compositions that are used for many products, but there is also the opposite. But if the question were narrowed down to a specific flash powder, it is important for which product.
