greenlight Posted July 23 Share Posted July 23 Nitric acid won't react with the glass or bleed through it. The cap on the other hand often gets eaten over time. Those Schott Duran reagent bottles with the blue GL45 caps store it well with no issues for years. Otherwise if the caps intact, is there a possibility another reagent in vapour form has reacted with the label that was stored in the same cupboard/area.
