BigBang Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Why do you really want to inuslt them? Sure, some of them deserve it, but why are you dropping to their level? Just leave the little k3wls be with their crappy crappy attempts at pyrotechnics. Lets try to have a little class, shall we?
itwasntme Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Why do you really want to inuslt them? Sure, some of them deserve it, but why are you dropping to their level? Just leave the little k3wls be with their crappy crappy attempts at pyrotechnics. Lets try to have a little class, shall we? I wasn't full out insulting them, my friend from another forum was. I just laugh and move on. I go on that website for laughs.
Chemguy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I agree, that egg made my day, like many other eggs it has a stupid, cheap, k3wl idea. Like usual the english is atrocious.Come on people, join the egg hunt. Look at this! http://rotteneggs.com/r3/show/se/47077.html How the hell did it get 3.5 stars !!!!!!
saluterocket Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 hahhahah wtf are they thinking, 50 gallons of flash powder for a firework, common seriously thats not a firework or even a salute, thats enough to destroy part of a house, the most il use is 1/3 of a gram for breaking a shell, and thats enough to sometimes blow the stars blind... that site needs a moderator of some sort.
joe609 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 You know i think most of them are taking the piss i mean no ones stupid enough to think filling a giant rocket with flash and butane canisters is actually going to get off the ground or expect someone could make that much flash to begin with, or are they just genuinly thick?
Chemguy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I think 50 gallons (liquid?) would blow up more than part of a house. With the butane aswell! How much would that cost? I wish I could do something, but then....
saluterocket Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 i found another incorrect egg, http://rotteneggs.com/r3/show/se/133096.htmlthis person is stating the facts(or so he says) about black powder and flash powder the only part he is correct about is that black powder is slower than flash and that flash is more sensitive, he is incorrect in the sense that he says putting bp in a pipe will pop the end caps off and not destroy the casing, theres is a reason that people do not use a metal mortar for launching shells or casings made of metal. these people should get their facts straight, before sending readers to the emergency room.
GlowinPontiac Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 dear god that site is retarded. i dont think any of them even try anything they write about they just copy/paste chunks of the anarchist cookbook. theyre so dumb they think miracle gro and every other fertilizer is 100% pure ammonium nitrate.
Chemguy Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I know isn't it!I like the response from that spammer hjkgjk..... what a retard, I bet he hasn't ever made BP or FP. Like someone in this thread said earlier,They are the reason people are coming down on fireworks and amateur pyros.
_DB_ Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Yes, yes, Rotten Eggs is quite notorious for providing false information and thus becoming a breeding ground for "kewls". Can't it just be left at that?
pa_pyro Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Ya maybe the RE talk should end, it's wasting alot of space in the venting room. If you want to complain to the deaf kewls join the site.
Chemguy Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I guess we have been going on a bit. I will stop now, I don't want to be dragged down...
dragonman586 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 FUCKING ALIENWARE! I paid for my laptop in august and havent even had it in my hands for a total of 30 days! Its constantly out for repair and for the same damn issue.
maximusg Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Thats what you get for buying pathetic overpriced hardware. Should have gone with a more respectable laptop brand who emphasize functionality over aesthetics.
shadopyro Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Alienware? i thought they were supposed to be really reliable and overall pretty good gaming laptops?ONthe subject of laptops, my sony vaio died on me a few weeks ago. lierally died on me! In that theres no reaction when i try to switch it on.In fact i was gonna buy an alienware ...that is until i got FUCKING FIRED!! MOTHERFUCKERS! such a small mistake!Anyway as far as i know dont get a dell computer. they're shite.
hst45 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Shadopyro, "such a small mistake!" And the mistake was.....
dragonman586 Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Thats what you get for buying pathetic overpriced hardware. Should have gone with a more respectable laptop brand who emphasize functionality over aesthetics. actually if you look at them they are not all that pretty. besides i think i figured out the problem
Dr Boom Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Well folks, Some of you might be wondering what happened to the Doc? Where'd he go for so long? Doesn't he like APC Forum anymore?!? Huh, don't think for a minute that bad weather, power outages, sickness, or stolen computer would keep me away... ok, so maybe the last one. Yep, someone broke the key lock on my car, stole my laptop, my buddy's laptop and my Mp3 player at a soccer game... Not a very nice way to get settled into Italy- So lots of paper work, and a few $$$ for a new PC later... I'm back and I've got some good stuff to post as far as fireworks in Italy! Oooh yes, I've been looking and the fruits of Italy are tasty!
Mumbles Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 ooooooooo, Italy, now I think you're just trying to make us all jealous. I can't wait to see the goodies you have seen. Sounds like your Italy trip is quite eventful in both positive and negative ways. Nice to see you are back though. Rooster went to Malta a year or so ago and make a video of a fireworks factory. Don't remember which one, but it was in Lija. St. Michael's maybe. I should go find that DVD again, it was realy cool.
DeAdFX Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Aghh I hate my new electrical ignition system. My system is plagued with so many fucking problems. I cannot find a pyrotechnic mix that will consistantly stick to the stupid nichrome wire and plastic insulation[i use AP/PBAN/Al/CuTartrate or KClO3/pban/Al for pyro mix]. If the mix does stick the pyrotechnic mix warms up and doesn't do crap. Fuse really is the only thing that works with high reliability. I am thinking of mixing KClO3/Pban/another organic compound or sulfur. Yeha yeah chlorate + sulfur = death but if I have to deal with another fucking failure I will probably die from my blood boiling away.
h0lx Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 just use bare wire or some black powder with dextrin, why mess with more complex stuff? Oh and dr, there is a lesson to be learnt, Always hide everything out of sight in your car.
rocket Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 All I do with my ematches is get some heaver steel wool between two wires and glue a small piece of black match under the steel wool, worked evertime so far.
DeAdFX Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 All I do with my ematches is get some heaver steel wool between two wires and glue a small piece of black match under the steel wool, worked evertime so far. I have some steel wool at home but it is of the finer variant... However I shall give this a try. Does the oil on the steel wool need to be washed off or is its affect on the reliability of the ignition system not worth it?
rocket Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 (edited) I can’t really see it affecting the oil should just burn off when the wire is heated. The only reason I use the thicker steel wool is that its easier to make a couple of turn around one wire then the other, I’ll try and get a picture of one. Dont know if you can see it but there is a wire there. Sorry if it's a bit big Edited November 7, 2006 by rocket
Chemguy Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Ok look at this video I found on google videos.FireworkThis person claims to have mixed potassium iodite, magnesium, flash powder, gun powder, and black powder together. It is apparantly a homemade firework, and it cracks his window because it falls over. Notice how he touches the thing it burnt in right afterwards. What do you think of this. He doesn't sound like he knows what he is doing.
