MADBOY Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I want to make in my home charcoal can you please share any video to easy process to make charcoal in my home
Zumber Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Nothing hard as rocket science. Just collect woods and dry it very well for 15 days to month. I prefer softwood plant for lift and gum arabic for charcoal effect. Just take tin container with tight lid there should be no any minor air gap to pass air inside the tin. Now burn wood once wood start burning you will observe red hot charcoal, collect this red hot charcoal and pour it in tin till it gets 3/4 of total size now fix the lid and wait for 7 to 8 hours. Open tin lid and grind charcoal. Other method is just burn wood itself inside container you can easily find ut out over youtube.
Crazy Swede Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Search for TLUD (Top Lit Up-Draft) on this site or on the Internet.

MADBOY Posted May 28 Author Posted May 28 Every time I buy charcoal in shop but in moment I think I make it in home thank you for sharing your thinking
Zumber Posted May 29 Posted May 29 I prefer homemade charcoal just for my fountain but for other items I rely commercial charcoal....for 2 to 3 kg it is not hard job to prepare charcoal at home but for bulk quantity it is dirty and tedious work.
SKC Posted June 8 Posted June 8 A person habituated with Chlorate, Perchlorate, Hexamine & what not! is asking help for making charcoal, it's a pity. Seems basic learning is missing. 1
