I live in Colorado (literally the worst place to be a pyro) and I've just been waiting for some rain to film some of my creations. I hope to contribute to this forum within the next month. Thanks for reading, Zach

thallcanada Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Hi guys,My name is Tom. I'm recently retired and want to get into pyro as a hobby. So far I've only put on shows for the family with consumer shells. I would like to get the knowledge to make my own shells. I just got Tom Peregrine's book and am getting deep into it.
tfb5701 Posted March 20, 2016 Posted March 20, 2016 Hi, my name is Andrew. I have some experience in pyro from helping my boss with his personal fireworks shows when he had his FEL. I'm now looking to start the process to get mine as well and looking to learn and get some advice.
chuckufarley Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Hey pyros, I've been reading for a while now and made a few posts but I thought I'd formally introduce myself. Im charles, im from wisconsin, im 38 ive been into Pyro for as long as I can remember. I mostly used consumer fireworks, and had alot of fun fusing and eventually building a 100 cue e-firing system but have never ventured into making my own fireworks. Since I came here and started talking to some of you guys I have the bug bad! I just wanted to say thank you to all the people on here that have freely given such valuable advice and instruction. I have a ball mill built (need some funds for media) and am researching rocket tooling now. I cant wait to get some things built so I can start sharing with you, and get some feedback on my projects. Thanks again for all the info on here. Its so nice to meet people that are supportive of this hobby. Charles

pyro159 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Hey yall. This is pyro159 and since i have to, i would like to introduce myself. Ever since i made my first homemade smoke grenade when i was 11, i wanted to become a rocket scientist or more like a pyro. At my scout troop, for a time, my nickname was pyro and i held my reputation there. I have made sugar rockets (one of which is on YouTube), the occasional black powder rocket, and even DIY hybrid rocket motors using a variety of fuels. I have also made multiple BP cannons with 1/4 in and .177 mm diameter bores, air cannons, and i am presently working on an air cannon designed to have enough power and penetration to go through an inch of steel. My other project that i am doing right now is a paraffin wax/ welding oxygen hybrid rocket motor with a homemade nozzle from a 1.5 in steel tube.
Arc Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 My name is: Dillon, and I will be turning 14 in 4 days I think.. But anyway I am just wanting something fun to do other than sitting around playing the same games over and over. I want to write posts about WW2 or SCP stuff. 1
