hello all!

I have been a pyro for years, and have recently gotten interested in making my own!

as far as hobbies, I build guitars, tube amps (cabinetry and electronics), and stomp boxes.

I am a full time college student with no idea what I want to do. Though, as a 35 year old first-time freshman, the whole experience is far more hilarious than it should be!

Hello there!

As you might have guessed by reading my username.. I'm new to pyrotechnics.

I'm 26 year old and from Denmark. I've been facinated by everything to do with fire since i was a little child and i love testing out different kind of powder.

I'm here to learn and get experienced.

Hello! My name is Igor. I am from Philadelphia (not originally :) ). Since early childhood I loved chemistry and was a pyromaniac of the neighborhood. Several years and few minor injuries later: I have a degree in chemistry and work in Biopharm industry. Throughout the years I have/had many hobbies ranging from Brewing Meads (no beers yet), building burning handheld lasers to growing Carnivorous plants. And of course my fascination with chemistry and fireworks has never diminished. I live in a apartment complex and can't make/store fireworks or chemicals. Instead I am hoping to find local clubs or organizations where I can build fireworks and meet other like-minded people.

Hi guys. My name is also Gabe, so this might get confusing. :P You can call me Blue, though (or BlueComet24, of course).

I've been doing pyrotechnics for almost 5 years now. I currently make 1.75" ball shells, 1/4" black powder rockets and helicopters, rocket candy smokes, and various other items. Lately I've been trying to get my 1/2" BP semi-endburners to not CATO.

See you around.

Hi there I am James, and I am a pyro, have been since I can remember. But 41 years, and 14 of them being in the military has taught me a lot of respect that I did not have before.

So I am here to hopefully learn how to do this safely without loosing any appendages or my life.

Thinking of starting with some fountains, and work my way up. Tired of spending money on someone's work, and can not wait to have the pride of making a shell and have some great effects. I have made a few flying fish types of rockets and mines but wanting to get more technical and make some nice fireworks without needlessly using over reactive compounds.

Also a physics major so I do understand the science some, chemistry is coming soon.

Welcome Russ and James! I think you'll love this forum as long as you aren't dead set on being dead. I've learned so much here about safety, chemicals and techniques. I've learned to accept the rebukes when I propose something dangerous or fruitless and make a note of it. I made things go boom in the Corps and now in my job but pyrotechnics is a hands-on, very personal experience. I hope y'all enjoy the rush as much as I do! Edited by OldMarine
