Hello,

My name is Ben or TheDessonater(on screen name)

I am quite new to pyrotechnics but I am very good at chemistry for my age and will probably learn a lot quickly. I have also imported 10 12 cue igniter systems from china recently and I am selling them as a side project.

I live in the about an hour away from london in a town called Wokingham.

Hello there I am just here to get a single PDF file from one of your threads and I am hoping posting this would solve the problem and I then can continue on through the day. Thank you.

Hey guys,

My name is Mike.

I'm from Pennsylvania. I'm a Biochem/Pharmacy student (chem lab is where it all began).

So far I've mostly played around with thermite and binary/impact sensitive targets. Of course, I have also purchased professional fireworks and used those in the past too. I'm not yet comfortable making anything like that though.

I've actually been reading through this forum for a couple of months and just finally joined.

Hello to everyone. My name is Michael and I would guess I am the oldest member of this site. Just turned 60. Always had an interest in fireworks and now that I have a bit more time I will pursue that interest. I have experience with military explosives but none with recreational pyrotechnics. Always wanted to make fireworks as a kid but never had any money or help so it sat dormat for many many years. I hope I can contribute something meaningful to everyone...best wishes and thanks

Hi All, My name is Matt, I am addicted to this new hobby ! After loving fireworks shows all my life, purchasing a "few" boxes of aerials and ect over the last decade, I am psyched to be creating my own ! I started reading, researching, and watching videos at the beginning of this month. I have successfully made 1/2 and 3/4 inch sugar rockets, still working on BP core rockets. I have been thru 7 lbs or so of KNO3, my BP baseball tests 6.5 - 7.5 seconds in various batches. Been have a blast launching 1.75 and 3 inch canister shells ( Out F'ing Standing ! ) made red, green , blue rubber stars as well as Veline and D1 glitter ( my wife's favorite, so I'll be making lots of that one :) ) Tonight I'm prepping for more R,G,B stars working on adjusting the brightness as well as burn rate, as well as some Winkur #31 ( ingredients in house ) hopefully will have time to launch a 3" canister loaded with D1 ( keeping the better half happy ;) ) working on a more symmetrical break, I think a canulle ( sp?) for center burn or less containment maybe be the trick. Next up maybe Estes style rocket engines ( end burner ) Launching home made rockets with my boys, and some new color stars ( all cut stars for me so far.....) Then I hope to get my BP rockets powerful enough for a 3" canister lift ( 250 - 300 g) after that..........did I mention that I am addicted to this new hobby !

Thank you all for such great information to read and study, amazing in one month what I have done so far. Skylighter and Ned Gorski for the bulk of the materials, buddyboy272 for the three inch cylinder youtube, and Nighthawkinlight for the you tube video on rocket tooling ! And all the other folks that have contributed to the information I have learned so far, and finally APC Forum for being a site dedicated to the safe sharing/ transfer of information and methods. Matt

I'm off to start prepping chems..... :D
