SharkWhisperer Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 This effect looks completely badass. Anybody here ever build floating mortars that work like these? Would like to see a teardown of the weighting and water-proofing. Probably pretty easy to recreate. Two different effects, both nice: https://www.reddit.com/r/fireworks/comments/14w4lzy/can_anyone_identify_this_coolest_thing_ive_seen/
Arthur Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 The detail will be in the tube that was launched with the shell fuse already lit. Probably a 1" shell in a mortar that floats for just long enough, the right way up. 1

SharkWhisperer Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) This video is better--testing of various water cake effects at a Chynese factory. Skip the first minute or so unless you want to refresh your Mandarin skills. Yup, RT, firey motorboats would be very cool. Edited July 12, 2023 by SharkWhisperer
