cmjlab Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 My wife sent me this Facebook link, and normally I don't bother viewing (ends up being a donkey with their teeth showing, or a "cute" kitty cat, etc). This one was pretty cool! https://fb.watch/gkmZq5IyW3/ It's labelled a "Butterfly" but it's a cake consisting of two separate 1/4 fan racks facing away from each other that shoot an impressive rainbow of colors and resembles "fluttering butterfly wings". It's actually quite ingenious, or I'm amused by simple effects (I lean towards the latter). I'd be curious how they accomplished the differing heights of colored stars / strobes that looked really nice. Anyone?
Arthur Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Rather nice but it relies on users having sufficient space, being wide angled. No doubt a competent wood worker could make an adequate base so that it could be "made on site" from two conventional fan cakes.
