MrBOOMbastic Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 Would it work if I primed the end of some quick match with nitrocellulose/pot aluminum mixture for an ap based go getter ?
cmjlab Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 What do you mean by "pot aluminum"? If you have some AP go-getters made you could try the NC lacquer, Ive not read anywhere else of anyone trying that. Could be a simple and effective way to use regular blackmatch for the AP slurry gogetters. I'd be interested in your results. I've only tried AP go-getters once, and used a KClO4 based thermalite imitation fuse as my fusing method. It didn't work well, mainly because the fuse sucked! Charles 1
cmjlab Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 In hindsight, I'd wonder if just plain blackmatch coated in NC lacquer only, would be enough to protect the AP from the KN03 in the fuse.
MrBOOMbastic Posted September 23, 2022 Author Posted September 23, 2022 Mix of KClO₄/ aluminum and NC lacquer figure it would burn hot for reliable ignition.. obviously just want to protect the AP from the potassium nitrate
