deepakpyro Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) I was watching this video and noticed at 1:36 secs during assembly of shells and wondered about the type of burst used. Its look some soft cotton like bursting charge. Anyone having clue on what is used or wondering on advanced pyro methods of Chinese factories! Edited March 9, 2022 by deepakpyro
Mumbles Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 That does look kind of like cotton seed, which is a somewhat commonly used burst carrier. It's generally a bit too big for smaller shells, but 6+" it is more suitable. The burst they're placing in that shell however doesn't really look coated. Maybe they're using something without charcoal. Straight cotton seeds are generally kind of grey looking, just due to the slightly dirty cotton over the top. That looks kind of tan. Maybe it's a phenolic based comp? That is assuming it's a real or live shell that's being made on video.

Or just it may be just used while recording video only? Its looks real deal in another hand. But it may be one new formula used by Chinese!
