Uarbor Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 K Benz with red gum and perlite on universal tooling. I was not quick enough to get the whole flight on camera but at least you can hear it. I'm glad it was not super shrill I kind of like the way it sounded. I'm not sure exactly how it is supposed to sound let me know what you think
standles Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Nice. That was more like a howl of anguish suddenly extinguished by proper application of explosive LOL
justvisiting Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Nice! Just curious how you came to use perlite, and how it was used. Not too many folks using it on our continent.
Uarbor Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 (edited) Nice! Just curious how you came to use perlite, and how it was used. Not too many folks using it on our continent. I got it from a YouTube video. It is supposed to Aid in compaction allowing you to use less pressure on the fuel grain. It was blade milled in with the fuel and the red gum and then repetitively screen mixed. Then the oxidizer was added last. Edited February 22, 2022 by Uarbor
Uarbor Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 (edited) This is the method I used. I skipped the granulation process. I also used extreme risk mitigation when mixing in the oxidizer including full welding a regalia and anti-static measures. Edited February 22, 2022 by Uarbor
