Richtee Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 (edited) So as not to be confused with an historic firework. Even lacking one key component. So far. I rolled a couple mating paper tubes 5/8”-ish. Filled with 5g vitamin F (Organic ) and glued together. After dry, I went to under my tablesaw and collected sawdust. Mixed with sodium silicate (water glass) until tacky and hand rolled a coating over the charges. Now I gotta drill a hole in them. Why you ask? Don’t ask Always been fascinated with the vintage stuff. Still working on a BP jumping cracker. They go too fast to really “jump” It’s more like a sub-machine gun burst in the air Edited December 23, 2021 by Richtee 1

SeaMonkey Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 Nice texture, nice color and nice size. They remind me a lot of one of my favorites when I was a kid and they were readily available. You're quite right about the Water Glass!
dave321 Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 look like the old Torpedo throw downs nice nostalgia
Richtee Posted December 23, 2021 Author Posted December 23, 2021 look like the old Torpedo throw downs Ooohh..what what were those?? Never seen anything other than those silly little snap things...
Richtee Posted January 11, 2022 Author Posted January 11, 2022 Sooo.. there’s a couple good reasons these are prolly banned. Stupidity #1. People are stupid. #2- just tried one out. That waterglass soaked sawdust is shrapnel. You donn’t “light fuse and get away”. You toss that fugger 50 foot away from anyone/thing. Jeez. Well, I made a couple. that’s enough of that. 1
