Wrecktangle Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Looking for a general discussion on how you setup your shows. Any advice is much appreciated. I tend to have a problem with dead air which adds unnecessary length to my in my 1.4g 4th of July shows. I tend to start with 200g cakes, progress to 350g, 500g Artillery shells (med. speed 10-12 stringed with 10-12 second fuse and finish up with a fan rack of 36x 1.75" shells stringed with 4 second fuse and throw in a few 500g cakes for the finale. With consumer cakes I find it hard to time pieces to avoid dead air shooting with the manual mode on the cobra firing system. In the past I've used talons exclusively, but this year I purchased Cobra's MJG ignitors (guess they are like e-match), maybe this will help with being able to quickly fire the next item without having to wait for the visco fuse with the talons. What is your philosophy on setting up shows? Do you mix it up or progress from small to large to finale? How do you manage timing? What's a good show length time?
Arthur Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Probably the only/best way of avoiding dark sky without modifying fireworks is to light one visco when the prior firework has 5 seconds to get to it's end.
