TheSidewinder Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I have that collection, too. 635mb of great info (and fireworks-themed music). Glad I could get it. M
teknix Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Here is a nice big book for you all. It has thousands of pyrotechnic compositions including some very rare compositions I never even heard of. This is definitely a nice book to have. • The Preparatory Manual Of Black Powder And Pyrotechnics by Jared Ledgard
maximusg Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Thanks For Sharing these great resources guys. If any one has a request (sans info pool items) Let me know, I have a few Gigs of literature. Ill dig some stuff out if I have it.

maximusg Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 If I see Blesser's book being posted here there will be ass kicking. Perhaps you should try to actually contribute a little something here before trying to be a leech. It's not allowed

The_Duke Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Does anyone have a copy of John Bate's second book?

Baralheia Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 If possible, can you guys please consider using a different file hosting service than Rapidshare? Rapidshare is very inconvienient because you can only download 2 files every 90 minutes or so if using the free part of their service. I submitted an essay on safety to the old Info Pool, but I don't know if it ever made it in, as I was never granted access to the Info Pool. I'll check with a moderator and see what happened with that, and if I can, I'll post it here.
FrankRizzo Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Anything that *you* personally created or scanned, info pool or not, can be shared freely (copyright issues notwithstanding). The problems come when you share items that were submitted by other members, without their permission.
Matador Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 I know you guys look poorly on leeches, but I like to read up before I do anything. Is there a reason the post full of books disappeared from the second page?About the fourth one down, had around a dozen rapidshare links on it. Could only download one every couple of hours but then they were gone :'( Also, Pyrostar, the two linkshttp://rapidshare.de/files/16602313/amateu....part1.rar.htmlhttp://rapidshare.de/files/16602720/amateu....part2.rar.htmlhave incomplete addresses.
FrankRizzo Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 The copyright holder of the Fulcanelli papers has expressed concern about their distribution. I was unaware of those feelings and have deleted the post.
Mumbles Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Those addresses have been incomplete since they were posted. If anyone wants to contact him and get the full links, be my guest.
teknix Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 He was just copying the address that I posted earlier in this thread for amateur rocket motor construction. He just copied them wrong i guess....The full links are: http://rapidshare.de/files/16602313/amateu....part1.rar.htmlhttp://rapidshare.de/files/16602720/amateu....part2.rar.html I might rescan this book someday anyhow to make it look better and make it a smaller size.
Matador Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Thanks for the quick replies guys. Now I know the full filename I don't need to worry about downloading, I already have that one I guess I've got some reading to do now
asilentbob Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Bump. Would anyone happen to have:"Glitter, The Chemistry & Technique by Lloyd Scott Oglesby"? It was on rapidshare on the first page, but the link expired . I just know that i used to have it, but i have checked all my pyrotechnics/explosives files both internal and external data storage mediums with no luck.

asilentbob Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Rogue Chemist to the rescue! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
itwasntme Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 We need to bring this topic back, and I need to get some pyro books to share!
cplmac Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Are we supposed to be posting links to books we have uploaded? Or are we supposed to be listing books we have read and find helpful with links to where to buy them? I have read about a half a dozen books that have been very helpful and informative, but I have not scanned one of them.
GlowinPontiac Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 sadly amost every single rapidshare link on here is no longer working.
al93535 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Ok guys, I am uploading some good books to my webspace for you guys. But I have a 5 gig limit per month. So please, download what you see that you like, not just every book. Let others download as well! I am uploading them, and making links, I should have a new post with links by tommorow.
asilentbob Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Thats very generous of you, thank you! I highly recommed anyone who hasn't read the previously mentioned glitter book to do so. I have read about 85% and I LOVE it. Not only does it give a very good look into glitter and flitter, but it explains some of the intricate chemistry of black powder formulations, charcoal, sulfur, aluminum, magnalium, and other additives in glitter formulations. Some of the chemistry is pretty high level, but you can still gather what the implications of certain things are.
FrankRizzo Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 FWIW, some traditional fireworkers have sharply criticized Mr. Olgelsby's book concerning glitter chemistry.
