Richtee Posted May 30, 2021 Author Posted May 30, 2021 It’s getting hard to find QUALITY lump coal. Picked more that a couple rocks and unburnt crap outta that chimneyfull. Maybe I should break down and make my own for cooking as well.
MadMat Posted June 2, 2021 Posted June 2, 2021 I got sick of the continuing price increases with charcoal and the crappy quality so I started making my own charcoal for barbecue in addition to my pyro charcoal. It really helps that there is an Amish sawmill about 25 miles from here that only cuts hardwood ( a mix of red and white oak). I can completely fill a pickup truck bed with saw scrap for $20 2
