ronmoper76 Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) Do any of you guys use SGRS as a binder with rice hulls? Does it have much effect on slowing it down.,i'm not trying to overdo it with binders I noticed adding about 2% makes everything stick to my hulls like glue and stay that way even after handling it quite a bit. I was having a issue with it not being able to be handled much or i would end up with 1lb of powder at the bottom of a 10lb bag when it was finished..I read that some binders aren't good for certain compositions,BP being one, supposedly dextrin is used mostly for a reason. I swap out red gum often for phenolic resin and sometimes i have done the same for dextrin... I can't get the dextrin to hold good enough at 5% and how much does dichromate really aid in decomp of perchlorate,is it only applicable in certain formulas or can it benefit any composition rich on perchlorate?
