This weekend there are two club shoots I'm aware of, the HPA and the WPAG. The Heartland Pyrotechnic Association is going to be in southern MI and the Wisconsin Pyrotechnic Arts Guild is going to be in north central WI. So, show of hands, who here is a member of a pyro club, and what club(s)?

I'm in the PGI now. Probably joining the Pyrotechnics Artists of Texas (PAT) next year.

And in the meantime hopefully seeing if i can help set up a show before i get my basic display operator training (at PGI 2007 convention) for that little extra bit of actual experience.

I also am probably going to join the fireants/PAT next year when I move to Tarrant County.

From California to Texas. Not much of an improvement.

Deadman, do you know of any clubs here in CA? I haven't heard of any but it would be nice to join up and actually meet other people with the same hobby:).

Well there is the WPA it's not exactly CA, but meets in Artwice a year. Once for winterblast in Arizona and the other for DO IT in Nevada! I believe it was modeled after PGI in how it's events are ran.

Not exactly a club, but Mike Tockstein(sp?) of Pyroinnovations is always accepting people to volunteer for his professional shoots. Volunteer only at first. (So-Cal, L.A. area, I was going to do a shoot with his team, but financial problems stopped the trip)

I can't remember exactly where and can't seam to find it at the moment, but there is a webpage listing with many many club listings. I think Mumbles showed it to me.

Heya cplmac,

Ya missed a good shoot at the WAG this weekend. ;)

I'm in WPAG. Long drive, but I camp there for the weekend and get two of my addictions fixed at once. Great weather yesterday, but chilly.

Also in PGI. Will be in Fargo, assuming I'm not chained to some desk job in 3 months. Ditto for Gillette,Wyoming in '08.
