California's Governor Newsom (Nancy Pelosi's Nephew) banned all

July Fourth fireworks displays and celebrations this year, but

thankfully, the People had other ideas.

 

My neighbor somehow got a supply of fireworks and did a

very nice display for the neighborhood. In fact, there were

fireworks displays all across the city in neighborhoods starting

from dusk until about 2100. Really spectacular although very

small in comparison to the usual, normal July 4th displays

around town.

 

The Police and the Fire Stations were very cooperative and

permitted it all to take place without interference while

keeping an eye out for any potential fires.

 

Let Freedom Ring!

 

My dogs were a bit ancy due to the beautiful noise. I kept

them inside and tended to them so only got a couple of

brief forays outside to view the amazing displays; my

dogs huddled around my feet as I sat in my chair while

I consoled them and assured them that everything was

OK. Some people in the city had their dogs escape and

run away during the show but, luckily, all were caught

by neighbors and returned to their owners.

 

Turned out to be a very nice evening in spite of the

idiotic governor's edict. Fireworks are "illegal" in

California but, what the hey!
