hi !

this is my own exotic powder

 

flash salute exotic Calcium flash

Magnesium fine / flake...............70%

Calcium Sulphate.............................30%

 

burn test:

Make a blinding flash for few second, little harder to light, need a realy good ratio (70/30) to light with a good result, bad ratio make the same result but the stuff burn partially.

Yeah ! I know its better to dry the anhydrous calcium sulphate in the oven, but the sulphate smell all around my house, but my calcium sulphate work pretty nice because i put the compound in a airtight container ^_^

I tried this and OH MY GOODNESS it was so pretty. I loved it. And to tell the truth I guessed on the ratio. Like I knew it was 70/30 but my scale kinda blows so. But it was still great. Much, much better than KNO3/ Mg flash by far and not to scary.

CaSO4-1/2H2O (Plaster of Paris) Flash:

 

Plaster of Paris - 1.8 (64%)

Dark Aluminum - 1 (36%)

 

or

 

Plaster of Paris - 1.3 (57%)

Magnesium Powder - 1 (43%)

 

or

 

Plaster of Paris - 1.6 (62%)

Magnalium (-325) - 1 (38%)
