Try a simple NC lacquer with some fine BP mixed in

I don't really know the %. About the consistency of syrup works well. Never had a problem with cracking. Post a pic of the ignitors as a reference

I cant right now, but for me even NC itself is also cracking. Should dextrin work ?

What are you using to make the nc?

I don't think dextrin would work well but you could give it a shot

Smokeless powder with acetone

For bridgewire ignitors, water based binders would tend to corrode the nichrome. You would probably want use something organic based. NC lacquer as has been mentioned is most common. You could try phenolic perhaps too.

The cracking might be due to the acetone being wet and promoting the corrosion I mentioned.

I mean, the composition with NC it is very brittle and it cracks easily. It doesn't hold very well. BTW how much % Smokeless powder you suggest into BP to make a dip ?

It is not only the final result but the accomplishment for me too to achieve my goal.

I will try some more mixtures with BP and varius % NC to see what it will be better
