300mm aluminum tube containing granulated r-candy mix plus 2% of 450-1000 titanium sponge with a 6"
shell attached on the top.
Since the total weight was noticeable (more than 2KG), to obtain a decent counterbalance I glued two
simmetrical long sticks (1250mm each).
The shell containing two layers of different stars: the inner layer was kamuro stars, the outer layer was
turquoise stars. The turquoise stars were added to 5% of 225-450 titanium sponge for nice tails and has a
strobe core. Very good shell:

Congratulations!! Very beautiful shells.Good ejecución, opening and symmetry especially red + green to strobe.

The rise and tail of the rocket titanium is spectacular.

I have observed that the titanium tail in the turquoise stars has left a lot of flying scum.

That charcoal firefly or smoldering residue can be fixed with a different charcoal selection. I like the effect but safety concerns force me to use a hotter charcoal so more of it is consumed by the burning star. Very nice headers.

Hi.

I purposely used two kinds of charcoal powders only in the Kamuro stars: coconut charcoal and a 20 mesh lumpwood charcoal,

so I obtained either a relatively fast burning for instant effect and a slower burning to create the falling effect.

I launched the rocket between a river and a ploved land. We are in a Winter season, so little vegetation and moist soil .. it was a safe launch :)

Really nice shells. The motors have a lot of power and the titanium tail from delay is gorgeous. Keep up the good work :)

Whats is the size of stars in 6 inch shell?
Posted

About 12mm.

Usually I make these stars slightly smaller because usually I put two layers of stars to obtain a a much richer flower

and avoiding the creation of a hole with no stars at the center of the explosion.

Of course putting more stars takes away space for the breaking charge, so instead to coat rice hulls with 6 layers of fast BP and one of KP

I coat the rice hulls with 5 layers of fast BP and two layers of KP. This should counterbalance the lack of breaking charge.
