dagabu Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 I think it's a fair warning to anybody building at home without the necessary licenses to read this article and know that your purchases can be of interest to the ATF etc. https://www.bradenton.com/news/local/crime/article223016455.html Marc sold lots of time fuse here and online, his site was thepyropro.com. https://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/12723-1-roll-time-fusemarcsplus/?p=175493 Please be careful whom you buy from, don't let your exuberance for the art get in the way of common sense.
Mumbles Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 This is a bummer when it happens to someone in the community. It's hard to say I didn't see this coming though. Definitely trust your gut when it comes to dealing with suppliers.
TomasBrod Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 "explosive fuses" are fuses now under explosives or is it just newspaper disinformation?
dagabu Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 Both. If it is black powder fuse, which it is, black powder is an explosive therefore and "explosive fuse" if the definitions are used back to back such as they were. Consider that quick match in bulk will explode inside a case if ignited. It is still pretty erroneous but not overall incorrect.
