rellim Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I have seen videos where a spoonful of flash is dumped on top of the burst charge prior to closing the hemispheres. It seems to me that the oxidizer and metal could end up separating to some extent. From time to time flash bags are mentioned in the pyro literature. Can anyone give a method for construction?
Arthur Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Depends on how much flash you think is needed! Design the spollette or time fuse to finish in the centre, wrap a little tissue or brown paper round the end as a tube. fill with flash tie off with thread. For cylinders I've heard of people using a fast food drinking straw as a flash canule. pushed onto the the fuse and sealed with a spot of glue. But it's your design, pick the best of effects and build them.
