PyroAce Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 This is a great video of firework production in China, I have seen them all on YouTube before but only just saw this one. Two points from the video that I noticed, they only use such a small amount of flash booster in their shells, must be potent stuff! And also, I had to look twice, but Chinese making cylinder shells WTF! Was anyone else surprised as me? Why would this be, are they for the American market? They are a lot more time consuming and more expensive to make than ball shells. Finally, check out the barrage at 2:54! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6XNeiQAR3IM 1
pyrokid Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 (edited) Chinese factories have a broad range of capabilities. The general rule seems to be that if you want to pay for it, you will get it. (or at least an imitation of it) A number of Italian and Japanese companies outsource production to China. I have seen plenty of Chinese cylinder shells on class B displays here in the USA. Wiley Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Huh, those really are cylinder shells. Who'da thunk. The shells at 1:04 are clearly cross-matched. 1
Simoski Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 What exact is the lady doing at around 0:56? Is she dipping fuse into glue or water or what? 1
dynomike1 Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) Looks to me like she is dipping in 70/30 I never thought of that. Edited March 25, 2018 by dynomike1
memo Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 I never thought of pasting a cylinder shell with gum tape. I don't think I will try it.
