Puls0r1 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 After doing some research I could not find a electrical lighter for thermite that doesn't involve cupperic oxide or other reactive chemicals. i am trying to avoid oxides like Cuo3 because they could react with my thermite and thermate mixtures, and could possibly screw with the results of the experiment i am trying to do. TL:DR is there a simple electric thermite igniter i could buy/make.
Shizznt Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 https://www.amateurpyro.com/forums/topic/6923-electric-thermite-igniter/ Here is an older thread that asked the same question. I did not look through the whole thread, but I did see some posts that could answer your question. Take a look.
