Hi Ben,

How you determine your morter for 3",4"......6" shell?

Do you prepare them pasting paper or use a common but differently designated iron tube?

Please share if there is any specification ?

Fortunately a local acquainted guy makes convoluted paper tubes with various inner diameters so we have endless supply of tubes for mortars. Usually I use paper tubes for mortars up to 4” although I have a 4” iron mortar and two HDPE mortars for 5” and 6” shell.

what did you use to bind the crackling stars ?, Can you please share the details of the binder you have used for the crackling stars, if it is NC lacquer where is it available in India ? the only NC lacquer I have come across is wood finish which is not 100% pure NC lacquer.

Bengalflair can provide detailed formulations , however I used pingpong balls plus hardware shop paint thinner to get very satisfying results. I'm originally from Bengal.

Make sure your table tennis balls are made of celluloid. They will have that pleasant odor of camphor and so will anything you bind with it.
