Jordan123 Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Hi everybody ! My las ball mill don't work yet... it's a 3lb rock tumbler. So i have bought a ball mill with 2x jar of 3lb and ceramic balls. My problem is that i'm not sure if the size choosed is correct, it's ceramic balls of 20mm i found this is may be too big because they made less strike than a smaller media.I used my ball mill a big part of my time for BP and bp don't need a big balls because the chemicals was not hard to grind... So do you think it's better to buy 12mm balls ?? Source of information for choose media size : https://www.inoxia.co.uk/catalogue/BallMillingGuide Thanks
Mumbles Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Yes 12mm will be better. 20mm is way too big for that size of jar.
samaterials Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Well, I also think 12mm will be better for ceramic balls. So it's better to buy 12mm balls. Maybe you can get some ideas from www.samaterials.com
