braddsn Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Hoping someone can recommend a good video camera for fireworks, something that can sit on a tripod, a dedicated vid camera. I currently have a Canon Vixia, with a "fireworks mode" built in, but the colors are washed out and just suck. I don't want to spend much more than say 500 bucks. Any recommendations? Thanks!
dynomike1 Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 (edited) Brad take it off fireworks mode. You will probably get a lot of SX150 and Gopro suggestions. Edited July 19, 2017 by dynomike1
dagabu Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I am a big fan of SLR's, Nikon in particular but they only write for 10 minutes or so to the card. I have been running 2 side by side for shows and BULB for stills of individual shells. The lenses are bright and there is no distortion like Go-Pro from the fish-eye lens. Just a thought.
Baldor Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 I second this. An entry level or mid range dslr with a good lens is the better option.
