klachner Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 hello, i recently made some strobe pots but they didnt strobe really. I used the bleser white strobe http://pyrodata.com/compositions/Bleser-White-strobe and made 3 strobe pots with 50g each. In every pot i used another mgal size to test how the frequency would change. (100 μm, 75-150μm and 200-400μm) But none of them did really strobe, they only burned white, and you could hear a little flicker sound, but all 3 burned the same, even if different mgal sizes were used... I made the composition really wet so it was nearly a liquid i could pour into my strobe pot tubes. Could this be the reason? Do you think it could work better if i use only a little amount of water? Or what could be the reason they didnt strobe?
lloyd Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I've never made strobe pots that were water-bound. Mine have always been NC/solvent bound. 'Can't help you on the water issue in this case. Lloyd
Mumbles Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 It might be the amount of water you added. I've always just wetted the comp into a stiff dough and pressed them into tubes or paper cups. Is it possible they're not dry yet?
