Potassium Perchlorate wax rockets

I used the search and found previous discussion of using KClO4 and paraffin wax as a fuel with charcoal as an opacifier. Has anyone tried this out and had any luck, if you did what was your ratios? Would 80% KClO4 and 20% paraffin with an additional few percent charcoal be a place to start?

A better place to start would be 80 perc, 20 charcoal, and a few percent wax as a binder/phlegmatizer. I'd be quite surprised if the ratio you suggest would work.
