pyronoob Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 I seem to be a little confused (a normal state for me usually)....I green mixed some KP Burst Powder. I ve been told to put it on rice hulls....Here's my confusion....do i put it on BP coated hulls...or do i granulate it first or do i coat the rice hulls like i do with BP at 7:1. I did a test burn of a line of the green powder and it burned verrrry slow.Help???
Mumbles Posted October 4, 2016 Posted October 4, 2016 You coat the hulls like you would for BP. It does burn slower in the open. Under pressure it greatly increases the burn rate however.
pyronoob Posted October 4, 2016 Author Posted October 4, 2016 Thanks Mumbles....FAST wasn't real clear about it (at least that i could find)
CrossOut Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Smaller shells (3" and lower) you can use granulated kp with really good results. 4-6" should be coated on rice hulls. I can't say much about a good ratio as i have much less experience with that. I used 4:1 on mine and worked fine. I found it much easier to just dust my bp hulls with whistle before making the shell.
