Uploading photos off iPad

I have been trying to add a profile picture off my iPad. No luck as all photos must be larger than 100kb. I'm no computer guru at all, and have no idea how to edit, or reduce the file size. Tried many different photos, but every one must be too big?? Any ideas would be much appreciated

See if Photo Resizer app is available for Apple. I use it on my droid tablet and it works great.
