Still waiting to hear from Johnny but was told over at Fireworking that there is a ban on component exports from China to keep others from taking business away from them.

Surely not. But it makes sense that so many Chinese fireworks are sold here. The term "components"could mean more than fuse. Paper ball shells fast fuse and all manner of chemicals.

It would seem to me they would lose money by not selling components. Were it to be only time fuse some enterprising soul would surely manufacture it in the US. It would be good to hear from Lloyd or Mumbles on this.

Well welcome to our world ( where its all illegal)... Legal or not, we cannot get it easily in Aust.

Just so you all know, Starr Fireworks out of North Dakota has plenty of time fuse, this is the SAME time fuse that Marc sold the last few years and has fantastic timing! Here is the thing...

You have to buy it by the case!!!!! :o

Why is it you dont see any japanese or american made time fuse, the only american listed fuse i could find comes from PPI and it comes in 300ft rolls. I checked the starr fireworks site and they list no pricing or shipping info.

i recently got a message from my club saying this

"It turns out that there is a shortage of time fuse on the
market right now, and we might not be able to obtain any
more time fuse for a long time. However, there is a an
opportunity that has come up recently that we should consider
taking action on.

There's a vendor that is selling very good time fuse for a
really good price. He's liquidating some stock. The price
is *********. With the Board's blessing we intend to
purchase 50 rolls for the club. Yes, a lifetime supply. It
will be delivered to us at the PGI.

So while the supply of time fuse (and number of suppliers)
is dwindling rapidly, we will store it and have it available
for our members to use for devices shot at any of our shoots.
It will also be available for us to use when we compete or
do a PGI display (someday)."

Soo im guessing this is what the "Shortage " is , ....china wont share... :(

Just shoot Johnny or Dino an email, free shipping to PGI.

Sorry, no, Gary's time fuse is in 25' coils and 300' of random lengths OR 25' coils per case. Oh, and it's $1.10 a foot!

All fuse can be cut and punched to your custom lengths. $10.00 per run setup charge plus approximately $.015 per piece cutting charge. Longest we can cut is 4" long. Burn Time is approximately 1 sec per ¼”.
1/4" OD Time Fuse (AMERICAN) per case- 300 feet, per ft. .... $ 1.10

Would you mind defining components Dag? Does this mean different types of fuse or every fireworks related component. It seems very odd they would ban components out of fear of competition considering they already own the market. I could believe a ban intended to elevate cost, but competition?

Components such as fuse, time fuse, stars, quick match. The rest is available world wide.
