Arw: I use a ratio of 5:1 (bp:rice hulls). I suspect your problem is not enough prime. Make sure you are using 1.5mm bp + 5% silicon for your prime. And when you are priming a star containing barium nitrate, use .5mm hot prime, followed by 1mm bp+ silicon. Try this and see if it helps. I don't think pasting is the problem.
