Violet wave, formula:

KCLO4 - 45%

SrNO3 - 10%

CuO - 10%

PVC - 15%

Magnalium(150 mesh) - 15%

C - 5%

Dextrin - 5%

 

Above 100%:

Al(80-100 mesh) - 10%

Al(130-150 mesh) - 10%

Another big break, man I really want wait to start building 3 inch shells, but baby steps first.

Сore colored stars(size:10*10mm).

 

Prime formula:

Black powder(75/15/10) - 70%

KCLO4 - 12%

Magnalium(150 mesh) - 8%

Fe2o3 - 5%

Dextrin - 5%

 

Layer 1-2mm

 

igniting composition:

Black powder(75/15/10 (coal grinder grinding)) - 90%

Magnalium(150 mesh) - 5%

Dextrin - 5%

 

Layer 1mm

 

The final size of the colored stars(12-13mm)

What size D1 stars were in that 3 inch heading a few posts back?

D1 glitter stars(size:10*8mm).

Wow... Those are some seriously impressive rockets. And the headers are incredible!

 

Just out of curiosity, do you have the weights of the actual headers and the weight of the BP used in the lift motor? I'd like to do some dead reckoning on the excess energy of the motor.

3" inch shell(brocade crown + white strobe stars)

 

stars composition:

 

Brocade crown
KNO3 - 30%
S - 10%
С - 34%
Ti - 20% (used 20% C)
dex - 6%

 

White strobe

BaNo3 -51%
S - 19%
Magnalium(200 mesh) - 18%
KnO3 - 7%
dex - 5%
