celia1095 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 How to protect concrete surfaces from corrosive attack of CAN fertilizer (calcium ammonium nitrate)? When CAN absorbs moisture from atmosphere, it becomes extremely corrosive for concrete. Can anyone answer me ? Thanks!!
lloyd Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 The solution is called "paint" in this part of the world. You PAINT the concrete (thickly) with a durable, traffic-resistant coating that is resistant to the chemical you're protecting against. But I guess the other solution would be to NOT spill the C.A.N. on the floor to begin with! What's the matter with heavy, hole-free plastic sheeting? LLoyd
