DaMounty Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Hi Does anyone have any hints or tips on shooting video with iphones? I have been using a 5s and the video seems out of focus. DaM
DavidF Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 ALWAYS hold the phone sideways for starters. Otherwise you get a tall video with black bars on both sides. Second, take the phone and aim it at a source of light like a flashlight on the ground, or lights from a nearby building. Press on the screen with your finger until A yellow box comes up and changes to a small yellow box that says AF/AE LOCK. Then aim it at distant lights and see if they look like pricks, or blurry. If they look blurry, do it again, until you are satisfied that distant lights are in focus. Now hit record and your video will be in focus. I'm in a colder part of Canada, and I find that the touch screen does not respond well in the cold. Either does the battery!
