I enjoy listening to Igor Presnyakov, do you have any other new talents that you enjoy that we might not

of heard yet?

Well, you must server an least 1 year in the army ( from 18 to 27 years time ). If you go to university they give you a delay!

Mikeee, no I don't know anyone:(

Same in Taiwan too, used to be longer. I served a year and a half. They see it as rite of passage (you're not considered an adult until you serve and finish). A lot of bosses won't hire you until you completed the service.

it sounds like In Soviet Russia, army volunteers YOU!!!

Yes, here it's hard to get a job if you don't serve in the army first:)

military service is required if you want to work in law-enforcement services, such as police, etc. or security services

Putin just killed 200 civilians in Syria using cluster bombs. It's being called a war crime.

We destroyed countless civilians in hiroshima and nagasaka with nukes. Even more in Tokyo with fire bombs. 100,000 in Dresden with fire bombs. Today we are friends and allies with both countries. It seems amnesty international and a lot of politicans have forgotten the meaning of war.

I am not putting down the US or England. I am a big supporter of the MAD doctrine. I am just saying we cannot condemn Putins actions when we are also guilty of fighting wars the way they should be fought.

I agree war is war. There never is a good outcome.

Not trying to be or play admin here but I think Maxim had general questions of Russia in mind without getting too political or war related. It nice to be able to communicate with others across the ponds and borders in a civil manner and which is what we are doing so far. I would hate to see that go bye-bye.

So is that Russian actor in the Rambo movie a badass actor or what? :P

You are right, I intended this topic to be about laws of pyro or foods, or any other discussian, but not politics,

I never watched rambo, so don't no what you mean:)

Here you can ask anything about Russia, and I will answer it:)

Please don't start holywars and stuff, :D

OOOps, I goofed, I meant Rocky movies not Rambo. This is a clip of a movie that was pretty big by us. Just wondering if you guys see stuff like this?

There are several topics discussed in this post that have nothing to do with food or fireworks. I was not attempting to start a "holy war"! Let's see....military service, smooth bores, assault rifles, pistols. " Yes, here it's hard to get a job if you don't serve in the army first:"

I was trying to be nice! I guess I am too concerned with what is happening in the real world.

As for movies.....

I don't know what Rambo Has to do with this topic but Rambo was much tougher than the Russian! He whipped them all didn't he? You should know thar Russians wouldn't be allowed to view propaganda. Nor would they be allowed to view Rocky 4- it also has political ramifications hence is propaganda. Dolph Lundgren is Swedish not Russian!

Fear not I will not be posting here in the future.

On the subject of food, I remember back in the 80's when relations between the USA And Russia first warmed up, there was a group of Russians that toured the US checking out restaurants to sample American cuisine. Their opinion? American food was good, but they spent too much time on how the food looked as opposed to how it tasted. Since I'm a big fan of Cajun food, which isn't the prettiest looking, I kinda agree.

Hey Maxim, is Baklava common in Russia?

Governor Jessie Ventura just came back from a visit to Russia and was very impressed

with the country and it's people. He was commenting on the growth of freedom and opportunities

in Russia, while the freedoms and opportunities are eroding in the U.S. for the average person.

Is there a big variety of cuisines in Moscow? Here in my town of less than 100,000, there is Indian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Greek, Vietnamese, Irish, and more.

Well, the NSA is still spying on us, the presidential election is coming up, there was a shooting a couple weeks ago at a Planned Parenthood, a truck carrying 2,200 piglets spilled (many were unhurt), SpaceX successfully launched and landed a Falcon 9 rocket (yesterday), Lake Tahoe just got an extra 4.3 million gallons.

It's really hard to find a reliable news source that isn't paid to advertise or push an agenda. :\

Thing is, clusterbombs have been deemed illegal, and a bunch of nations, including Russia, unless i'm mistaken, signed that. Neither fire, nor nukes have been outlawed by the same means. The bottom line for these rules pretty much is that weapons of war is supposed to be aimed at the counterparts armies, not civilians, and that they are designed to kills specific targets. The main reason for these laws is things like the nukes dropped on civilians... But it's pretty simple. Sign on, and you can be held accountable according to them rules, don't sign, and you cant. Russia as far as i know, have signed on, where as USA have made reservations. But i admit, i'm not really in to the topic, so i haven't read up to much.

Anyway, topic seams to have moved on somewhat...

Hey Maxim. Back to the topic of movies. Generally speaking, are Hollywood productions dubbed? Germany still does this to a large extent i believe, where as here in Sweden, only cartoons get dubbed, and always are available in the original language as well (However not always on the same media. Meaning you might have to buy the same movie twice, to get a version for the kids, and one where Eddie Murphy is a jack as... Sorry, donkey.)

B!

Ofcourse all movies get russian translation:) But the translators usually crew all the fun or good humer, so it's better to watch them in original laungage:)

I hate dubs... it sounds off and fake. At work there's a bunch of Mexicans and they always end up watching Telemundo (some spanish TV channel) which would play spanish dubs of various movies... they sound weird that way. Only exception is Final Fantasy games, but I guess it's because their English dubs aren't poorly done. I often watch Japanese anime in Japanese just for the originality (with English subtitle of course).
