Ubehage Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I am about to experiment with some 5" shells, and I would like to know approximately what timing I should start with. How long do you normally make the delay for shells that size? Are there any tables on this subject?
Xtreme Pyro Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I time them at 4 seconds, I don't think there is any real standard as it's really a matter of taste. 3.5-4.5 seconds is a good starting point. 1
Andres1511 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Cylindrical shells: table 6.I think it's almost the same for round shells. http://pyrosource.wikia.com/wiki/Shell_Building_Charts_(Cylinder_Shells) EDIT: I assume this is for round shells. http://pyrosource.wikia.com/wiki/Time_Fuse_Delay_Times Edited December 14, 2015 by Andres1511 1
dynomike1 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 To make it simpler, i have everything set for 4sec. up to 6". 5sec. on 6" 1
calebkessinger Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Shorten them up from what you think.. If it goes off a little quick it's still a nice shell. If it turns over they become droopy or way too high. If you are not breaking the crap out of them with booster they will look much nicer a little closer to you anyway. Just my two cents. I'd give them 3 or so secs. 1
dynomike1 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Well you have got a + or - sec. at apex anyway. Edited December 14, 2015 by dynomike1
