wizard7611 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Does anyone know where I can obtain this? It is sometimes used inside Italian, Japanese, or Maltese shells as a replacement for polverone or rice hulls. I am looking forward to buying approximately 20 pounds of it in a cheap fashion. It needs to be around 4 mesh. Is there another name for it? I live in Nebraska. -Thanks! Edited December 3, 2015 by wizard7611
Mumbles Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Have you tried using this new fangled invention called Google? Actually, I already know the answer to that is a resounding no. We help those who help themselves here.

For instance, I don't know if someone could be holding a massive load of this granulated cork and selling it cheaply.
Mumbles Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Yet, somehow you still missed all the US suppliers. Maryland Cork is where most people get it from. For what it's worth, this is one of the biggest benefits to joining a club. In fact, the club most local to you (Midlands) did a group buy of granular cork within the last year or so.

FloridaCracker Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I doubt you find it cheaply. In fact I bet it's quite the opposite since it was expensive the last time I saw it in a group buy and things have just gone up since then. You might try cotton seeds or puffed rice or some other type of puffed cereal. There isn't a lot of magic in the burst carrier and there are many other details that are going to have a much more significant impact on shell quality. In fact, I doubt there is anyone in the world that could pick shells out by burst carrier. It's also mainly used in very large shells which I would be surprised if you are attempting by your questions here.
