BengalFlair Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 There was no hope to make stuffs this Diwali but luckily got some free time just before and gave a hard labour to make some and would like to share with you. 2
Andres1511 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Wow, I really like your breaks, perfect power. Not too weak, not too hard. Just one thing, do you add Ti to your break ? The glowing debris is not that nice...How big are they ? 2.5" ?
Niladmirari Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Very nice BengalFlair! What bursting charge?
sora Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Great ones Ben. The red peonies were just perfect. Just wondering what do you use for the rocket stabilizer sticks, stem of jute plant (paat-kathi)?
BengalFlair Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 Thank you guys @ Andres1511 Yes, those were 2.5 inchers and there was no titanium in burst charge. The glowing debris was the unconsumed mustard seeds which I used as cores and next time I will try to overcome it. @ Niladmirari The burst charge was MCRH with slow flash.@ sora Yes, those are dry jute-stem after extraction of fiber. You know it’s almost free right here and here is the source of my rocket sticks 1
ExplosiveCoek Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Nice ones! Perfect height and nice break. What kind of slowflash did you use, and how much g's and how many layers? I'm quite curious, thanks!
BengalFlair Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Thank You I used 3 gms of slow flash (Kno3-5, DarkAl-3, S-2) for a shell as booster and actually those shells were made of ordinary plastic ball for kids. I cut the ball in two halves and made a hole for fuse and fixed it with glue. After loading the shell I mated two halves firmly and fixed it with masking tape. Then I applied a layer of kraft paper and finally pasted with two circular pieces of cotton fabric and wood glue from pole to pole.
